Newark Air Museum - Dec 2024

Post by g.lee.photos » Sat Feb 01, 2025 9:49 pm

Having not visited NAM for a number of years, I decided that it would certainly be a worthwhile visit to snap some pics.
For no reason other than "Why not!", I decided to pack with me my Mamiya RB67. To those who aren't knowledgeable with every single brand of camera to come out of Japan in the past 100 years, it may just sound like a generic old camera (Which basically sums it up perfectly, minus the generic part!!) , but of course there are a small handful people out there who would be delighted to see an RB67 still being used in the modern age... especially for aviation photography!
Inside, I packed some Ilford HP5 which is one of the most reliable Black and white films out there, however 400ISO in broad daylight isnt particularly fun!
Of course I did pack my digital camera, but merely used it for calculating exposure!

Anyway, continuing on with the show... Hopefully the photos display alright, 4:5 isn't really that common anymore!

And now for some indoor photos! For these I pushed the film to 1600 ISO.

I fully believe you could - they have a timeless feel about them. Certainly makes a change from the usual colour images. Welcome aboard by the way - look forward to seeing more of your work - old and new.
