Lossie 78-79 A10's.

These were frequent visitors to Lossie, indeed they hadn't been based in the UK that long when we had 2 come up on an early Saturday evening in the Summer/Autumn and proceeded to do numerous high speed runs along the runway then pull up into a "stall" turn and then repeat the process for a small but admiring crowd.

I remember the two jets you speak about. Might well have been the first A-10s I saw at Lossie. 77-0234 and 77-0245 landed at 1828 on Saturday 16/6/79 (on 05 if I remember correctly) and I photographed them next day taxiing out for departure on 23 at 1315 in glorious sunshine. Ah, happy days!
