Trip to MAM @ Coventy

Post by 1marshn30 » Fri Jun 14, 2024 5:53 pm

Hi all
I took a quick to to the Midland Air Museum at Coventry the other week as I had not been for a long time and had free hour .
A few changes since my last visit to the internal exhibits the T-33 and Canberra T-17 cockpits had power to them and some bits had moved out. .
The T-33 outside had Canadian Red Knights paint scheme but the F-101 looked very smart in Canadian colours. The restoration hangar was a bit full as a another building had been erected but not quite finished., but held a Second Gnat F1 from Cosford and a Beagle Basset was spotted lurking at the back in RAF colours but is a civil owned by Rolls Royce before being handed over to RAF for instructional
Use .
Here is a few shots

Thanks for sharing these, I visited it two years ago, my previous visit was in 1994. There'd been many changes during those decades. It does have some airframes that are not seen anywhere else in the UK and is well worth a visit. Very good cafe too and this is free to enter, it's also worth looking at the bookshop.
