Farewell Tiger's !
10th May 1993 was the day, the last 5 F-111E's from the 79th FS Tigers departed for the States and there new hone at Cannon AFB NM.
I was one of a group from the then "Upper Heyford Aviation society" to be on the ramp and capture some images of the morning.
Vark's in the rain.

There will be a Book coming out very soon. I will be adding that the for Sale page over the next few days. (Farewell Tiger's !)

I was also in that group and videod the event - it turned out great in spite of the rain. Typically, the sun came out after it was all over. For the record, in order of taxi, they were "Retro51 - 55", 68-079 in special marks for the 79th FS C/O, 68-047, 68-075, 68-076 and 68-080. The last 4 all had their UH tail code and yellow fin tip colour removed. The reason why they were all going to the 27th FW at Cannon is because they were all upgraded AMP a/c. Departure was from Runway 09 at 1000 -1003, staging via Plattsburgh AFB, NY.
