Waddington 1980 continued - close ups of Phantom XV492/J of 64 Sqn

As requested by quite a few people, here are the close ups of XV492 freshly painted in the light grey scheme with all those white stencils. As an aside, this grabbed my attention as I did an apprenticeship with Hawker Siddeley Aviation at Brough over the late 60s / early 70s period and on one of my stays in the drawing office I was given the task of re-drawing the McDonnell scheme for F-4 stencils to modify them for the F-4K/M. One stencil in particular I remembered somewhere on the underside was 'Do Not Remove This Bolt'. I wondered whether the aircraft would collapse in a heap or something if you did. Anyway on with the photos:

Great shots, I bet it didn't stay squeaky clean for long
Everyone has a photographic memory; some just don't have film.
