Thanks for sharing these, a nice little collection which I'd like to visit some time. Plenty of variety and note the selection of British types. The Seahawks used by the Kreigsmarine have the taller tailfin. Nice shots too.

Thanks

I really like gannets , there is something about them. I vaguely remember seeing one or two at yeovilton in the early 70s unless they were already historic civil owned by then.

Edit I agree with the lack of grass cutting mentioned below - not what I would expect from a museum in Germany, unless there is a reason for it such as rare grass hoppers or something similar

Some of these exhibits are starting to look jaded & faded since I last visited 17 years back. A very nice collection, but the lack of proper grass-cutting around & beneath some of the air-frames adds to the "put-out to Grass' appearance? :(

Certainly looks it mate. Another one for the bucket list. I'll be running out of buckets soon! Remember seeing that Atlantic @ Yeovilton just a few years back. Those pesky Starfighters have such loooong noses.

Great collection of 'frames. Forgot that the Luftwaffe operated the Magister - never saw one in their colours.

Isn't the Atlantic one of the ECM / snoopers the Marineflieger operated?

A very nice collection, thanks for posting.

I am sure I read somewhere that the Seahawk is an ex Indian Navy example.

There are two Seahawks at the museum, both featuring here. I assume that at some time, some were passed on to India, who operated them for many years, until replaced by Sea Harriers I believe. VB+134 must have been one, as it served with the Indians as IN238. I'm not sure when it was gifted back to Germany though. But VB+134 was also painted as VB-234 at some time.

It certainly was one of their SIGINT Atlantics.

Cheers,
