I am currently working on an illustrated history of the Finningley airshow to be published in the near future which is intended as a companion volume to Gary Parsons and Bob Franklin's excellent Waddington Airshow book and could do with a few more pics from the early seventies shows (pre - '76) and also the weather affected 1980 show (of which I have just a single surviving image) - particularly of the C-5 Galaxy. Anything + everything considered but with particular emphasis on the foreign visitors. Anyone who is willing + able to supply pl PM me.

What I need are pics of the pre - Jubilee shows. The only post Jubilee show for which pics are needed is the fog affected 1980 show where the conditions were so bad that I only took half a dozen, just one of which has survived. I could do with shots of the C-5 Galaxy and the Islander in Jordanian mks but would be interested in any pics from that show if you have any.

Here's a start. i do have many more somewhere, but maybe as negatives only, i also have the original show programmes if they're any use, i will dig them out later this week and see what years i was there.

Thanks Geoff. I can certainly use a couple of those. They've brought it all back to me what an atrocious day it was! I could use a scan of the programme cover too - if you still have it.
