The RAF organised a big open day at RAF Wildenrath in 1969. The weather started foggy but cleared up during the day. Because of the large number of photos I have split this topic in three parts. I hope you like them.
Thanks Arnold, you've certainly produced once again a wonderful selection of shots of various types. I never saw a German Convair, but do remember seeing most of the fast jets. A camouflaged Andover always looked good and can remember that it wasn't so long ago that 115 Squadron still had one in that scheme at Benson, it was nicknamed the Brown Bomber. Nice to see the Basset too, saw these regularly but weren't around for too many years. Thank you for taking the time for sharing these with us all, I think we're all grateful to see these.
I just have to make time and comment on you repertoire of fantastic pictures as you have spoiled us old'ns yet again!
