Mixed bag part 41...

and sadly, for now, the last set.

Just over 11 weeks and just under 350 of my scans posted, thanks for sticking with me and big thanks for all those who took the time to comment, it's always nice to get some appreciation and feedback.

A doff of the hat to all those who post and share their pictures - the method I used was 'relatively simple' and kind of automated, would have taken considerably longer copying and pasting BBCodes in from flickr, either way it takes time and effort, so cheers to all those that do.

Not sure when I'll dig out the scanner and set about the remaining 4-5000 slides - quite likely in the winter months of the new year. In the meantime, if it takes my fancy I may edit and polish up some more of the scans I've already completed, when I have enough, I suspect I'll post those up - but I've plenty of other projects/jobs I should be getting on with.

Enjoy

No.3...is that the F-4 from the museum pulled out into the daylight? Think i remember getting a shot of her at the airday in '88. Lots of great shots again

Thanks for sharing these and look forward to seeing more at a later date. That F-4S at Yeovilton was indeed part of the FAA Museum collection, but not sure where it is now. It was received as a swap for a spare Scimitar which the museum had, XD220 currently displayed on the Intrepid. But some real beauties here and hard to pick a favourite. Nice to see the Bear and doubt we'll see one again in the UK.

Thanks,

It's F-4S s/no.155848, taken at Yeovilton 1995, I think the day before the Airshow (Friday afternoon Spotters entry, they were still setting up which is why the barriers are all laid down). No idea if it was in the FAA museum, but think it's now at East Fortune.
***edit*** It's listed on National Museums Scotland as part of the Nation Museum of Flight (East Fortune) collection - currently "in storage".

Hi Kev :P

When that Bear arrived, it was the only time a turbo-prop aircraft rendered me temporarily deaf

Thanks for posting all your sets
