I am not going to steal Kav's Thunder re the Canberras at this meeting, apart from anything I have so many shots I would not know where to start. However I am listing a few shots of the small side show of what was then the "strike" capability of the once mighty RAF. Regards Gordon.

To miss quote Roy Batty...
"I've seen things...all these will be lost...like tears in the rain"

I remember it well , defiantly the best line up of British aircraft I had ever seen . The line up of Canberra's was especially good. If I remember correctly they had a platform to take pictures from.

Good to see these, I also remember it well, it was a great day out, took far to many photos, if only I had a digi camera then !
Thanks for sharing these,
Rob

Great line up.
Remember a very early start from home and sitting outside the base waiting for the torrential rain to stop.. nearly at the point of going home, but pleased we never. Sunlit aircraft against that sky were superb.
Great shots Gordon, thanks for posting

Only one GR1 with outboard stores. I seem to recall we went through phases of concern over wing fatigue with/without outboards. In the very early days we flew with dummies because they were thought to be beneficial.

Very nice Gordon,
They are great with the wet ground, nicely lit aircraft and dark skies behind.
As expected I've quite a few "snaps" there, just checked my scan folders and you have more aircraft than me, at least No F3, No Jag no Wessex, makes me wonder if I've yet to scan a box or maybe I've scanned it and not id'd it correctly.
Please post your Canberras as well, we all deserve to see them!!

What a great set...brings back happy memories when you were spoilt for choice as to what airshows and events to go to!

The upside of that cloudburst we missed was its legacy of fantastic lighting conditions which made for spectacular pics of the a/c against the dark sky and is evident in these shots. It truly was one of the best Photocalls I ever attended.
