Once upon a time in the west, lot-1 11/89

Post by Gordsmith » Fri Jun 17, 2022 11:46 am

I was looking for some aircraft shots that might be of interest to people when it occurred to me that by the 1980's there were air shows most weekends in the summer. That probably means that we all attended the same shows and took much the same shots. I was fortunate in that from the 1990's on wards I made several visits to the USA and I know that not everyone could be so lucky. So I thought I would show some of my visits “state side”, on business, and vacation,
on my own. with my wife and with good friends. If, over my next few offerings
you guys deem them to be a bit “self indulgent” and really not what this forum is for I will “cease” forthwith. Gordon.

I am not a lover of museums, I find them rather sad, however here are a few shots taken at Weeks museaum Miami.

Thanks for sharing these, some interesting shots there. We don't see a B-23 Dragon very often and the Israeli Do27 is nice.

Nice images Gordon. Not ‘self indulgent’ at all. I appreciate when people show photos on this forum that would otherwise remain hidden in their collection. Now we all can enjoy and be grateful that you take the time and effort to get your slides on this forum.
So please continue posting.

Right on the money there mate!
I echo Keflavik69's comments who obviously also has an extensive collection of nostalgic pics.
For me personally, a very big hoorah for pistons as I just love them and never tire of seeing the old birds.
A big thanks for sharing them
Best regards, Terry
