Although it was forbidden to take photographs on base back then, I managed to sneak a few with a very basic camera. They are not all great, but with a little bit of doctoring, some are not too bad.

Mustang. I don't think that they are Balliols. More Sea fury I'm guessing. Not sure why Balliols would be there rather than at a training airfield in England, but could be wrong. The one that intrigues me is the wing and engine in no.3 shot of a nosewheel twin. Looks as if it could be a C.119 Boxcar perhaps???. I thought at first it was simply the Pembroke, but although it is parked in the same position, it has a four bladed propeller.
