Rhein-Main September 1969, Part 2
This time some other types with an emphasis on KC-97's. Stratocruiser, I am sorry but I saw only one C-133B, 56-2013, at Rhein-Main during my stay there but it arrived and departed during my absence. I hope you find the selection interesting.

Thanks Arnold, once again you've supplied some wonderful shots and those KC-97s are out of this world. I only saw a few in service, but a sight never to be forgotten.

Thanks Arnold. I love your sets. Please keep them comming.
A nice twist is the lufthansa 737 in the background of nr2
A type now entering military service as AEW and anti submarine while the star of the picture, the C47, was then on its way out.

Absolutely superb pics
I was lucky enough to see the many Rhein Main KC-97L TDY rotations when they transited from and to the USA via IBY (Ibsley) so a personal thanks for sharing yours as they are an all time favourite frame of mine.
I have to add that I drool over all pistons and the Daks are another gem.
Truly wonderful, very many thanks for sharing them

Hard to imagine 7 years prior to these photos the Mach 3+ Lockheed A-12 first flew!

Such fantastic pictures.
I'm pretty certain that the original of my 1/144 KC-97L is in this selection (0-20903).
Thank you for posting.

Ferrari
