This was one of the best of the later shows, spoiled on the Saturday, by the monsoon weather. BTW I still have some of copies of the History of Air Fete book for sale. If anyone would like to purchase one just message me.

Defo the last decent Air Fete, as 2001 was a pale shadow of what had gone before :'(

Even the programme was a pathetic A4 job :'(

Bang on with the weather, Mick ;)

Thanks for posting

This one really was a cracking show, apart from the weather.

Pretty sure the Draken is an aerodynamic braking roll-out as the controls are stick full-back, continuous contact of the anti tail-strike wheels & lack of extensive afterburner 'necessary' to generate flight?
All in all a brilliant record of 'those' days! I'm interested to know how you bagged such a high viewpoint for the Draken & other runway look-down shots, maybe the air-stairs to a biggie in the static?? :thumb:

Well spotted Supra! I had borrowed my mates camper van for the trip from Cornwall which had a ladder up the side and I was sat on the roof, reckon I could have sold tickets...

Classic shots from a classic event'

Tim....where were you when we needed photos for the book? The ones of the Draken and B2 rotations would certainly have been up there for selection !!!
Its gonna rain, its gonna rain till the levee breaks, a tidal wave of fear and pain washes us away, another fight into the night until nothing else remains, how do we find harbour from the Hurricane?

Well that's a very nice comment, thank you! You put things up and hope people like them but that is high praise...
