1993 saw the EC-24A based for a couple of weeks during an exercise. Check out the queue on the taxiway..

I never got to see the EC-24 but your pics brought back many happy memories of long hours spent at the western end of the runway. Please keep them coming!

I remember good exercises all over the place, that taxiway shot is very evocative of a sadly passed era. Thanks for posting these.

A great post, the EC24 was quite a rare beastie, I remember seeing it in Lossiemouth many moons ago.

Thanks for sharing these, a very interesting and varied selection. I never saw the EC-24 either, but great to see it here.

Looks not just a 'good' exercise but an epic. Love the traffic jam pic. Also the Alsace Mirages.

Queueing aircraft is a fantastic shot of what exercises used to be like

Superb!
Very nice!
That EC-24 is as unique as it can get!

(Always found it remarkable that only a single DC-8 has been in US military service, compared to the many other build civil airliners of that era).

Hi All.
The EC24 lives on!
It's in Celebrity Row at Davis Monthan AFB.
Sits between the C9 and a C135.

Was also a visitor to Mildenhall 22/09/1993.
