Nothing dodgy about these, another good selection of subjects and some great memories. I remember the Canadian CC-132s visiting Gatwick as they were based in Germany, they didn't build many and the type is a rare sight these days. Thanks for sharing these.

We used to get one of those red and white Macchis regularly over my school in Leominster in the early 1980s, I think it was out of Filton at the time.

Canadian Dash-7s looked great, sadly never styed in service very long.

Great stuff.

I clearly remember that Norwegian F16 '659' because my Dad showed me the gold tinted canopy - it was like nothing else at that time.
How can this be 40 years ago???!!

Great selection of the IAD Static. I also liked the CC-132 & they used to show up at events quite frequently whilst with 412 Transport Squadron at Canadian Forces Base Lahr, in West Germany.
Coincidentally, the Commercial Dash-7 flew the daily schedules from the co-located Newquay Airport to London City with Brymon Airways around that time. I've no photo's of those though! It's amazing the difference a paint-scheme makes to your judgement?

What a great variety of airframes there. The MB339 was a bit special 👍

Regarding the MB339s, I seem to remember them appearing at Farnborough that year too. They were the prototypes I think, so were the demonstrators.

Negative, they were operational with the SVBIA at Lecce, but had yet to be coded. This initial colourscheme was known as 'Marlboro', as it resembled the fag packet.

Think the Brymon Dash 7's operated from Gatwick. I flew on one to St Mawgan via Plymouth(Roborough) many years ago.
