Five a day - Part 59

Post by haveblue » Wed Feb 16, 2022 3:51 pm

One of my favourite non fast jet types, always thought it was a cool little aircraft for the job it had to do. Had quite a few of these transitting through from time to time, sometimes in fairly large numbers, occasionally 9,10 or even more. Some or all of the West German OV10 target tugs were delivered through Lossie too but I have no photos of those (and if anyone else has please stick some on if you can).

Nice post, Alan. I also had a soft spot for the Bronco. I thought the grey scheme really suited the USAF ones. Good shot of the Marines aircraft too.

I liked the OV-10 too - nice catch on the Marine examples

Cracking selection of Broncos. I was never lucky enough to get any of the Marines ones at Lossie unfortunately. Hopefully you will treat us to a showing of some of your shots of the Bronco's cousin the Mohawk in the not to distant future!

I always liked the Bronco and it's good to see some shots of them. Thanks for sharing these. Has anyone got any of Mohawks?

Very versatile type. Could be thrown around with abandon in displays. Years ago in Venezuela there were active ones against drug running etc., Heavily armed, we were not allowed near them. They also dropped parachutists out of the back!!.

Can't beat these originals, great pictures! As I didn't see too many of these after they left Sembach AFB I'm grateful that we can still enjoy the 'Choc' & Caramel' Marine Corps Bronco (F-AZKM) in France & Tony DeBruyn of Eureka Aviation's (G-BZGK/99+26 or G-BZGL/99+32?) in Kortrijk, Belgium as flying examples of this brilliant design. :thumb:
