Used to love going into Kef with the Nimrod fleet, - good to see the old wind sock stuck at 90° - haha

Some great stuff from your Keflavik posts Arnold. Very difficult to pick a highlight from them all but it would have to be the F102s for me (but there are many close seconds). Must have been a great place to be with all the ferry flights staging through. Like others on here it would be great to see more.

Wonderful stuff Arnold and many thanks for sharing them - brought back memories of seeing 131635 many times at Mildenhall.
Although 57thFIS F-102's weren't a rare sight in Scotland they certainly were in England which is why I went home well pleased when I saw a pair visiting Upper Heyford in late Feb'68 - 0-61341 and 0-61455. I was also lucky to see 2 pairs of the squadrons T-Birds at 'Heyford as well - 0-35244 plus 0-35470 in April'68 and 0-35470 together with 0-60758 in October'68. Then, it was a long wait for me before the 57thFIS showed up again, this time with F-4E's.

Thank you very much for your kind comments Luxto. You saw some interesting 57FIS T-33's. Less than a year later they were replaced by O-80540, O-80583 and O-80627. They were gone when I went back to Keflavik after some years during the Phantom era.
