Visited the Boscombe Down Aviation Collection at Old Sarum for the first time, its great a collection very professionally presented. Volunteers were very helpful in giving access to various areas to get the photos you wanted in quite a tight hangar. These photo's show some of the latest additions and developments:

For those interested in numbers & serials the non existent 'ZA220' this drone flew for its whole career carrying the unallocated serial 'ZA220' .... a mistake by the manufacturer (allegedly):

Well worth a visit especially on a damp cold winters day.

Re: Boscombe Down Aviation Collection - Old Sarum
Thanks for sharing these, it reminds me that a revisit is overdue. Add to the listing here, there's two more arriving from the now closed Manchester museum in the near future. Well worth a visit.
Re: Boscombe Down Aviation Collection - Old Sarum
As noted in Alans' (haveblue) Five-a day Part 6 the RAF Museum's spectacular Avro Shackleton currently still at the Manchester Museum of Science & Industry (MOSI) will travel to its 'spiritual home' at the Avro Heritage Museum in nearby Woodford, Stockport, the site of A.V. Roe & Co. Ltd where it was originally made by Manchester born inventor Alliot Verdon Roe, a leader in British Aircraft design. Who could reasonably perhaps expected other AVRO products at MOSI to come their way?
Currently resident at MOSI & heading to BDAC (in a surprise outcome?) they have been allocated both the RAF Museum's red Avro 707A and English Electric P1A & will be re-homed at Boscombe Down Aviation Collection. Major additions to the growing list of 'must-see' items assembled there. The MOSI Avro 504K will find a new home at the Stow Maries Great War Aerodrome in Essex, where members of the public will be able to see it on display in the future. The MOSI Avro 594 Avian Mk IIIA will return from loan to The Aeroplane Collection.
