Wow. Cop the sky on that last one. Given the lack of any water on the runway I'm guessing that was incoming. 'Get the brollies out mum'.

Another great selection, I only managed to get up for one Austrian Draken deployment, but had a great day. I remember the day I visited, the added bonus was an Italian PD808 and an EA-6B. Thanks for sharing these.

Great set, although somewhat disappointed I missed these back in the day.

Enjoyed viewing them though, thanks for sharing.

Yeh...lovely! Went to this deployment...and the last time seeing a Draken flying (until the Swedes Historic Flight). Great memories from when Waddo really pulled in some cracking visitors and deployments. I don't know whether to smile....or cry! 😢

ACMI Deployments were always good times, but the Austrians were really special to most of us. Great shots from a never close to being repeated era. :'(

Oh how I miss the ACMI deployments at Waddo. It was always great to the see the Belgians, French and Swiss visiting during those years but the Austrian Drakens were always my favourite. I can still remember it like it was yesterday! Many thanks for taking the time to post, brilliant photos.
I was with it all the way until I released the brakes.....

I'm still kicking myself for not making the effort to get up for any of the Austrian deployments. Thanks for sharing.

Great photos and lovely memories again. They certainly were the days. I miss my days at the wave. Bacon, egg, sausage & mushroom breakfast rolls age , steaming hot coffee and plenty of jets. Grrrrrreat days!!

Fantastic set from one of the more exotic deployments. Did nt make that one but made sure I was there for the next one, which was delayed by a year due to a Foot and Mouth outbreak.
