Dowding Memorial Moffat

Post by toom317 » Sun Sep 05, 2021 7:38 pm

That time of the year when Moffat gets a flypast to commemorate AVM Hugh Dowding, and his role in the Battle of Britain. This year the flypast was conducted by Spitfire PR 19, PM631. Pics were taken just outside the town, and cropped. Also included is a pic of the replica Spitfire that is in a garden in the town, with some info, and the memorial itself.

Very interesting Danny, never knew he was born in Moffat (every day a school day) and some lovely shots of the Spitfire.
Cheers.
