Was lucky enough to visit yesterday...so much more than just a collection of airframes (although some of the airframes are rather tasty), it is a full history of Operation Chastise and the v-force, with additions about the raids by Scampton's squadrons prior to 1943 and Guy Gibson's death.

Anyway.. a few photos...not all of airframes, apologies, but I thought they were worthy of inclusion:-

Thanks for sharing these, somewhere on the list of places I'd like to visit. Wonder if I'll get the chance.

Nice shots John,

Are the HHA aircraft all lumped together with the heritage collection? When we visited HHA a few years ago they were totally seperate across the airfield, we didn't get access to any of the heritage jets.

Only the Hunter, Pbantom and Sukhoi are in the Historic Collection....the rest of their fleet are, I guess, in their hangar on the North side

Wot - no Brick!!! Interesting set all the same John. The F-4 and Su-22 were the stars of the static display @ the Scampton show 3 yrs ago - along with a Hunter ...and the Buccaneer.

It's a fascinating place, thank you for sharing the photos.

I visited in 2018 and noted three WW1 (presumably) replicas - DH2, Rumpler C.VII and Sopwith Camel.

Also, a Chipmunk cockpit section (from WG477).

Can anyone identify that bare metal Canberra cockpit section?
