Re: Caroline Grace
Cheers Guys, came across this while delving through my "older efforts". It was taken at the Sywell airshow in 2014, the event where the much anticipated "Vera & Thumper" failed to show up because of the high winds. Despite this setback it turned out to be a great display with the rest of the participants, Sywell is a wonderful venue for pictures. Can't wait for legends (if it still happens)
Re: Caroline Grace
Funnily enough we have just recently watched The Grace Spitfire Trilogy DVD which consists of 'Perfect Lady'/'Going Solo' and 'Absolute Heaven'.
I had not seen 'Perfect Lady' since it was on TV down south in the mid 80's (?),this was a film record of Nick Grace restoring ML407 at St Merryn - also with some flying footage at St Just/Lands End.
'Going Solo' is about Caroline learning to fly ML407 at White Waltham.
'Absolute Heaven' is Caroline chatting with and flying with Jackie Moggridge (nee Sorour) - Jackie was the ATA pilot who originally delivered ML407 to Selsey in 1944.
Jackie wrote a very entertaining autobiography many years ago - she was one of very few and select band of Ladies who qualified for RAF Pilot 'Wings' in the early 1950's.

Re: Caroline Grace
If Airfix or any other model manufacturers are reading this the Grace Spitfire would be a good subject for a kit? Do we currently have a kit of a Two Seat Spitfire available?
