Subject over quality every time for this section. Classic Mildenhall!

I have 68-0413/RS as 1985 and I think the F-104s are 26+66 and 26+72 which also tie in to '85 too.

As I recall, 1986 was the last year that the Vikings displayed and the aircraft were in a special scheme, so quite probable these were taken in 1985.

Hi Mick :P

F4 & F104 :Wow:

Sure that was the last Vikings appearance at MH ;)

That was the year I got to ask some questions of Bennu Gamster about displaying the 104 :D

Thanks for posting

Classic Air Fete displays! :thumb: Did not get to see much of this one as on one of those coach trips - eventually got on base about midday and then back on the bus at 5.30pm :grr:

Like Nighthawke, I have the F-4E / RS down as 1985

Spot on - the only flying Phantoms in '86 were from Alconbury and operated directly from there (68-0554/AR on Sat. and 69-0382/AR on Sunday.).

The Vikings were 2665 and 2683 that year also.

1983 appears to have been the only other year in the 80's that Ramstein F-4E's attended Air Fete and as with '85, one was static and one flying.
Survival of the Fittest.
