The first few pictures are the only ones I can find from early shows in the 70's. Then the rest are from the 1982 show. All scanned from slides. I will also do a separate post with pictures from the 1984 show.

Very good mix there - especially like the Russian Mi-1 and the Heer Alouette II

Which year(s) did the Mohawk and Super Frelon attend?

Interesting subjects. I didn't know skycranes where based in Europe. I presume Germany. It's nice to see one as I think it's the first I've seen in this forum. A real one that is and not a museum piece

Great mix there, Michael
The sight and sound of that Skycrane must have been awesome
Thanks for posting

The Museum of Army Flying has been posting Lockdown Lectures - all of which have been excellent. All are available to view.
The one last night was about the formation of the "Red Rissoles" team (which morphed into Blue Eagles for "official reasons"!), how they trained, sourced their helicopters etc. That it was given by a former leader of the team made it even more interesting.

Ah, yes, that event in 1973(?) with the Russians, the Austrian AL3s etc was great. Likewise the 1975 event with the US Army invasion was very food .
