Binbrook Open Day '82 - Lightnings in flying display

Post by F3 » Fri Jan 17, 2020 6:34 pm

By way of an addendum to xkekeith's excellent post here are some pics of the nine ship and subsequent recovery. This was an interesting time as about half the a/c were in the new Barley grey scheme whilst the rest were still in the tactical scheme, in which some remained until retirement 6 yrs. later. We were fortuitously positioned at the end of the taxi-way which meant that they taxied directly towards us before turning onto the flightline.
