Swiss AF Norka Exercises - Waddington '90s

Post by F3 » Sun Nov 24, 2019 10:59 am

Visiting the Swiss AF detachment @ Leeming last week evoked memories of the Nord See Kamps (Norkas) that they held @ Waddington back in the early '90s after the ACMI range was first established so I dug out these images of F-5s and was pleased to note that, by a remarkable coincidence they are from the same Payerne based units which are currently @ Leeming (17 + 18 Staffeln) judging by the badges on some of the jets.

Very nice sir, pity the ACMI range is no longer in use, what an asset it was and the variety of visiting aircraft at Waddington was great.
Cheers.
