A few Fulcrums from Fairford

Post by paddyboy » Fri Oct 04, 2019 10:31 am

Hi Peeps :P

A bit short of time this last few days

Managed to unearth these, and (shock horror) there was a bit of paperwork with them

Thus, I am fairly sure these are all from IAT 1991

Agree with the above. #2 is a belter. Impressive collection of zaps on the air intake.

You can be 100% certain Paddy

7501 was the 1991 flier and 5616 was in the static.

Nice collection

Thanks for peeking and replying

Chris: we were there all right, but I decided to do all my shots on the Sunday, so went on Saturday sans camera :'(

Mick: I never did find out the significance of all those zaps :S

Paddy

Back then the aircraft tended to arrive clean, then get visited by others carrying handfulls of zaps trying to slap them on ;) Some were not so keen so a certain amount of skulduggery would be employed! I have a photo somewhere of an Irish Air Corps Puma at Yeovilton thanks to the skillful application of a zap by an IAC heli crew :thumb:

Great shots Paddy. I was also there when the collision happened . I was talking to John Nichol at the time, I can hear that bang now!
