So much quality there but nothing beats those Crusaders - what a beast of an aeroplane.

Those French F-8 are beasts

How on earth did they operate from French Carriers which weren't exactly in the Nimitz class for size?

Remember they operated off Essex class carriers which were slightly shorter than Clemenceau and we operated Phantoms off Ark Royal which was also shorter than Le Clem ;) I believe they didn't have the numbers on board that the USN ships carried so probably had a less crowded flight deck.

Also liking those Crusaders which I believe were also known as 'the last gunfighters' owing to the fact that the F-4s which replaced them in USN service did nt have one.
