Some shots from various trips to North Weald over the spring and early summer this year:
Aero Legends have purchased The Squadron bar/flying club facility and it will be their new base. C-47 Drag-Em-Oot was re-positioned there in the spring and parked up nicely in the revetments.
Westland Scout G-SCTA was up for an air test back in March:
Another Westland Scout, G-CIMX / XW283, on a delivery flight:
The RNHF/Navy Wings Sea Fury ground runs:
The Aces High Dakota emerged from the hangar after winter maintenance in the bare metal finish. It has since been repainted.
Springtime in Essex wouldn't be complete without the Gnat Display Team working up:
Jet Provosts are regular movers:
The Huey was out performing at the first airshow of the season at Shuttleworth:
G-CIMX was back in for a quick fuel stop a few weekends ago:
The new resident L-29 Delfin is starting to fly on a regular basis:
And for the last two Saturdays, the Mustang has been up and about. It has been my pleasure on both occasions to help the owner get the aircraft safely back in the hangar, cleaned and tucked up for the night. Also really nice to meet some F-15 pilots (and a WSO) from Lakenheath who popped by the hangar for a look at the Mustang yesterday!
Did you know that registration to Fighter Control is completely free and brings you lots of added features? Find out more....
