Its gonna rain, its gonna rain till the levee breaks, a tidal wave of fear and pain washes us away, another fight into the night until nothing else remains, how do we find harbour from the Hurricane?

Hi Jon :P

Always a fan of the JP teams back in the 60's (Red Pelicans, Poachers, etc.)

Still a sweet-looking bird, IMHO ;)

Thanks for posting :thumb:

Nice set. Having lived most of my life in York they were a familiar sight and sound. The weather ship from 7FTS @ Ch.Fenton used to pass over our house @ precisely 0800 every morning en route to the RLG @ Elvington to check on conditions there. It may even have been the subject of yr. 1st pic on occasion.

Great pics, although I thought the JP was known by Lightning pilots as 'variable noise, constant thrust' aircraft, given moving the throttle forward only really increased the noise, not the performance (compared with a Lightning)!!!
I might be wrong though...

Lovely set of a great little aircraft. Brings back memories of ATC summer camps at most of the JP stations.
