Always nice to see some Tooms. This used to be a very active area as I recall with Twenthe one side of the border and Hopsten just a short hop away (sorry). What happened to this Geschwader? Presumably disbanded as have nt seen any Typhoons with the white horse badge.

You will not see any Typhoon with the 'Prancing White Horse '. JG72 'Westphalia' ceased to exist in Jan 2002. A part still carried on as an F-4F training facility - but that only lasted another year or two.
