Nice, warferry - I remember it but it was during the 1999 Kosovo conflict. It was a jaw dropping moment on Tuesday the 4th May'99 when 60-0049 arrived from Barksdale with 3 of those AGM-142's slung under its wings. It wasn't the first time these had been seen in the UK because the day earlier 60-0062 (parked next to it), had arrived from Barksdale similarly configured - an even more jaw dropping moment! They were unusually parked facing West into the trees/open countryside in case the missiles fired accidentally.

Only ever been to Fairford 3 times for IAT 1991 and IAT 1993 and passed by in 1999 during Allied Force - Kosovo when I saw the B-1B Lancers and KC-135s, unfortunately I never saw any B-52s in 1999 as I never knew where they were parked!
