Farnborough 1988

Post by Del » Mon Sep 10, 2018 7:31 am

A few scans of photos taken at Farnborough 1988, 30 years ago this month. Some are cropped and brightened a bit in Photoshop. I imagine there'll be a few people on here who were also there, so hope they are of interest.

As the old singer Maurice Chevalier sang 'AAhhh yes, I remember it well' Very nice of you to remind some of us as to how old we are becoming!!!.[I used to suffer from amnesia once.... but I can't remember when it was!!]:S :S :S :) Off to my beloved Fuertaventura for a few days on wednesday to leer at beautiful women with my reflective sun glasses to remember my young days. Hope my wife won't notice!!.

Yet another great reminder of yesteryear. I can confirm ZE251 as the F.3

Lovely old shots and thanks for sharing them with us.
Oh, those Harriers. I miss them.
There seems to be a Gazelle on fire in shot #6.
Jem60, you have a good time and don't do anything that I wouldn't do.

I remember the noise the Harriers made and the sheer size of the AN-124.

Hi Derek :P

Remember it well, as I was there too

That 124 out-screamed a C5, IMHO :O
