Various late 80's/early 90's airshows
Dug out some old 6"x4" photos last night from various airshows I attended in the late 80's and early 90's - Lakenheath Open Day, North Weald Fighter Meet, Mildenhall Air Fetes, and two Farnborough shows.
First up, Lakenheath 1988
B-1B
Corsair
SR-71

Mildenhall, 1991 - the first show, post Gulf War, hence all the desert camo schemes, interesting nose art etc

I opened this cockpit window on the Buff! Benefit of being an air cadet working on the day, we got to blag our way in to all sorts of stuff!

Another benefit of "working" - flight line access in front of the rope!

Saving the best for last, the Farnborough 1992 show, when the Russians really got involved big time.
I'll always remember the Dutch F-16 being thrown around by the General Dynamics chief test pilot - damn, he could make that thing dance!! And I never got a shot of it, but the Tu-22M produced the most fantastic BLUE reheat flames on take-off!
