AAC Museum at Middle Wallop, December 2017

Post by tommc » Wed Dec 20, 2017 7:05 am

A last trip out for 2017 to take a look at the AAC Museum at Middle Wallop. It had been a few years since my last visit, and I'd forgotten how cramped and dark it was in places. Also, the high windows in some places made for strong back-lighting to some of the suspended exhibits. Overall an enjoyable visit with some excellently preserved exhibits.

Nice set. Popped in there earlier in the year; sadly my pics were lost when the lappy was whizzed out of the boot a few months later. :@

Hi, I concur, very nice set. As above, I have not been for a while (maybe 20 years?). It would be useful to repost this set in the spring as a jogger to remind a few of us to get down there!

Nice set. Must get down there sometime. It's quite a while since I was last at "Wallop" (anyone remember the "heli" shows in the 1980s?).
The white Beaver is the one that used to be based at the British Embassy in Cairo. I saw in it storage at Shawbury in March 1983 - yipes 34 years ago!)
