Indiana ANG F-100s at Lakenheath 23.04.1976
In response to F3s request for photos of this deployment to Lakenheath , here are are a few of the shots taken at the photo-call the day after their arrival . As I remember the day was rather cold with a blustery wind which at least kept moving the clouds away but well worth the 300 mile round trip . This was one of several excellent photo-calls hosted by the base in the mid 70s-80s .
All shot on Kodachrome 64 slide film using a Praktika LTL camera .
Enjoy looking , Fred .

Excellent stuff. is it ironic that you captured US military hardware on an East German camera during the cold war?
In this world there's two kinds of people, my friend. Those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.

My first proper camera was a Zenith E - Russian built - unfortunately I hadn't even heard of Lakenheath in April 76 let alone know where it was!Sparts99 wrote:Excellent stuff. is it ironic that you captured US military hardware on an East German camera during the cold war?
