We got a visit round NAS North Island in April 99, visiting a lot of the helicopter squadrons and one S-3 unit. The monotony of the Seahawks was broken up with a smattering of Sea Kings and Seasprites still soldiering on.
First up, a Seahawk getting a bath, something I guess the Navy folks must spend a fair bit of time doing:

USN Reserve squadron, HC-85, were still operating their UH-3s:

And better sill, HSL-84 were still going with SH-2Gs. These operated from some of the smaller ships that could not accommodate the larger Seahawks.

For some reason I came away with precious few Viking shots. Not sure if that's because we didn't get near many or if I was too busy number crunching. Did get a colourful one though:
