Hi Mike,
Memories, memories...... That was the last Mildenhall show that I attended as, due to circumstances, I entered a very lengthy lay-off from spotting. Am still regretting the lay-off.
One small correction - the A-6E was actually 161676/AG-501. What you quoted was an AV-8B before being rebuilt as 165391.

'84 was my first Air Fete but sadly I don't have any surviving pictures from it.

If you are thinking of 1983, the F-14A was 161442/AG-110 of VF-143. One digit out on both serial and unit.
All of these photos relate to 1984 - I have just checked them against my log of the show. Not that I doubted Mike.

No just memory lapse I saw 442 on the Dwight in 1990 when I had the good fortune to visit, I just didn't recollect 422 at the same time as usn a7 although logged at Mildenhall
