Great images of an iconic aircraft, what a shame they are no longer around along with the Jaguar. They both could be still doing a job for us.
Cheers.

One of the best places to visit to see one of the best aircraft close up.
Many happy hours at the 22 Hold

Really?

Perhaps you could pen a letter to those awfully nice guys at USMC HQ asking if they will rip all the spares out of the USMC fleet so we can have the dam things back.

Not factually correct. The pilots at the time have now either retrained on to another platform or left the services; for those who did fly the Harrier would have serious skill fade over the last 5 years. As for retraining, that would have to be state-side in the first instance and as for timescale, how long is a peice of string. You would have to set up an OCU type team to retrain the trainer, then stream pilots out of basic flight school, etc, etc. First operational pilots wouldn't be seen frontline for several years.

The Harrier has gone; god bless her. Just remember the good times and not thinkning of the 'what might have been'.
