It was dark, it was perishing cold, but it was great to see this fine aircraft at close quarters.

Worth getting cold for I reckon.

Brought back memories of Kemble in 1983/84 when approx. 45 OV-10's passed through there - some in for repainting in the`lizad`scheme and others acting as their crew ferries. These were all assigned to the 601 Tactical Control Wing, based at Sembach.

In its USAF days Kemble could be an interesting base to visit.

Lovely sight! If I remember correctly the Germans ordered 18 aircraft, and I saw 11 of them staging through Lossie at various times on their delivery flights. Most were in green primer but a couple were light grey, and I only ever saw one with the jet engine above the fuselage. Happy days!

The sound of this aircraft is very distinct. I remember it well. I miss hearing them launch from the National Guard Base that I lived near as a child.
