Friday the 13th and friends. Elvington Nightshoot.

Post by andyxh558 » Mon Mar 16, 2015 9:53 pm

Thought I would put some pics up from friday. To be honest I did not enjoy the running of it. Think he should stick to Trains as there was a lot of what he wanted you to take pics off and a whistle was used too, mostly for the re enactors, which were superfluous to the night. They did make some photography difficult at times. The lighting on the halifax was not very good, and all in all not really worth the money we stumped up.

However I did get a few keepers. Here are a few ive processed into sepia. seems to work with ww2 aircraft. Hope you like them.

Good to see that the ATA was included in the re enactors.

The dak.

The highlight of the night.... As one ex Riat commentator called it. A glorified chicken shed. The Halifax

Why don't you feedback your comments to the organisers?
They seem fair enough.

Nice set of photos, the re-enactors are probably more useful there than the glorified lawn ornaments they use at Duxford... but that's just a personal opinion ;)

Already have sent my concerns to the organisers. was told that, Quote." Perhaps these events are not for you"

You would think after doing these events for the best part of 8 years I would know?

However i would like to know more about that old guys story with halifaxes .. that was brilliant.

It sums up Jamie's thoughts on the evening, yes.

Odd that, other than Jamie's and Andy's photos, I have not seen anything from the other 98 photographers. As I wasn't there - £50+ is a stupidly expensive price in my opinion - I cannot pass judgement on what happened at the time, only what I have seen since.
