Some Australian Navy A4G shot at Greenham in 1977 I think. All scanned from Kodachrome. Sorry about the quality but thought they might be of interest to some. Comments welcome.

Don't see many photos of these birds, is that an RAN S2 Tracker next to them?

Great shots from my first ever IAT show .

yes it is S-2E N12-153598/841 RAN 816 Sqn
All aircraft came from HMAS Melbourne (II) which was in Portsmouth to take part in the Spithead Naval Review commemorating the Silver Jubilee of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.

Remember them well, even though in my early teens. They bought the S-2 Tracker as mentioned earlier and a Sea King. Sadly all no more! Greenham Common was my first experience of military airshows and boy were they great

Brought the memories flooding back - actually there were 3 A-4's. Think the missing one, N13-154907/886 was south side.

Also 2 Wessex appeared as crew ferries on the Thursday and Monday IIRC..

Yep, flew more of a "role demo" fully tanked up rather than a full solo display. The pilot said that with there being an F-14 and F-15 strutting their stuff, he didn't want the little old scooter to be out flown. Having seen Skyhawks fly I'm sure he could have more than held his own, especially with the A-4s phenomenal rate of roll..
Greta shots...

The Sea King (N16-125) is still around..........just. It is one of those at Horsham.
The Tracker is thought to be still stored at West Sale, Victoria, Australia.

Nice pictures. I didn't make the show that year, but I do remember two Aussie Skyhawks were seen (not by me, unfortunately!) at low level over the Moray Firth, heading overhead Inverness then south. And an Aussie Tracker (can't find my log, but I think it was the one at Greenham) visited Lossie on at least three occasions, including, if I remember correctly, twice on the same day!
