Went to this show by Aeroprint tours (and Orlean the day before) & this was the only time I ever managed to see a Dassault Vautour, not one but two. I do apologise for the quality of some of the shots, as the flying ones I think were taken with an Olympus OM1 with manual adapter & a manual focus 400mm lens.
Interesting shots - they were certainly a rare sight in the UK.
I remember seeing one in the static at Benson's Battle of Britain show 15 Sep'62. That was No638 - a 11B light bomber version. Also recall during the early 70's a few occasions when they did Practise Diversions into Wattisham at night - probably the 11N night fighter variant.
Certainly an interesting machine and not seen in the UK very often. I remember them attending an airshow at Bassingbourn but cant remember the year. On 27th May 1978 (when i had a PPL) i landed at Bordeaux and the resident squadron were very active and a number taxied past our parking slot on the apron.
