Brilliant set, well worth re-arranging your schedule to catch these.

Thanks for sharing

Very fond memories.
I was lucky enough to have lunch with the crews in the Officer's mess due to being invited by Al Threadgould, who was OC Ops on 41Sqn.
He was my next door neighbour at the time and I went to school with his son.

Fabulous stuff. Have to admit I can’t recall the Jags using the eastern taxiway to get to the 04 end very often.
Stunning set of images from my local, however I was only 7 then so sadly missed these!

The Jaguars certainly aren't using an Eastern taxiway in these photos (the runway runs East/West!), they are on the southern taxiway at the West end of the airfield taxiing to runway 04... :thumb:

From my experience (1988 onwards) when I spent almost all of my spare time at this very crash gate from where these photos were taken, the Jaguars often were parked amongst the revetments to the east of this position and would use this taxiway. The Spanish Mirage F.1s that were on squadron exchange with 6 squadron in April 1988 also used this taxiway - amazing views!
Survival of the Fittest.
