Not my image and don't know who the photographer is, but on their behalf here are the 2 F2.A's ex 92 ships 1982 apparently.

Hi Gary,
The same Lightning taken in better times (I didn't know there were two), interesting to note the HAS's under construction.

Cheers, MarkL

@ Roughcutter ie the Lightnings at Coningsby, One is XN774 which ended its days at Coningsby, the other one is now rather infamously sat next to the A1 (I forget the serial XN728?)

@Von-trippenhopf, they were moved about some between my shots and yours the JP was over the other side of the fire pits on the grassfield. I have close up shots of the Vulcan I might get round to posting them when winter really gets going :( Do you have any shots of the 74Sqn Phantom ZE360 from about this time? I did but they failed to be developed properly :( :( :(

Also from Manston 1991

They're a bit distant but to add a 'continental' touch to the thread here's a few from a French trip in August 1979.
CHATEADUN - Death row for a line of Noratlas (incl.64-IG No.47, 312-BI No.20, uncoded No.53, 59-CB No. ? , 62-QA No.27 plus 2 more)
Image

TOURS - T-33A 314-VG (believe 21032)
Image
C-47 Tail no. 15276 (don't know whether this one ever survived to another life)
Image

LORIENT - T6 Texan (981)81 with remainder of tail serial ***522
Image

EVREUX - Breguet 765 'Sahara' - only a few of these ever built I think. Think this one did survive and got rebuilt to be a gate guard
Image

Image
Difficult to photograph all the based Noratlas at Evreux - there were 43 of them stood out :Wow:
The French were very 'strange' even about photographing their wrecks at that time.
Thanks for looking
