Taff

Hope its OK to post this with credit to Stuart Duffin and the RAF News :S If not mods please take it down :thumb:

Being a modeller I used to collect all sorts of info and back in the day took this cutting from the RAF news , normally only collected photos but the story was so interesting behind it , I kept that too

Sorry took so long to post it but knew i had it some where :ninja: just a matter of turning the loft upside down

Hope it is of interest

Paul

Hi Paul, very nice. Now you come to mention it I do remember the article in RAF News. Wonder if the Bruntingthorpe Group would paint one of their Bananas in the same scheme! Regards Taff. Sadly XT279 was scrapped in '92.

Apologies for bringing up an old thread (good as it is), but does anyone have any more, or know of any images of XT279 in the black scheme. I'm just trying to make out the roundels, whether they're red/white/blue, or red/blue and if it had the yellow outlines to the roundel like that later Tornado had? just thinking of it as a potential future build project
