Nice one David.
The F104 was always the highlight for me at an airshow, especially the German navy. One would do a slow flyby and the second would hurtle by at 600 mph , throttle back and make that wonderful howl.
Ah those were the days

Thanks guys, the Starfighter was my favourite aircraft (seems a very long time ago), and I don't think the mini F104 has any power - then again I was doing a "flying" visit!

Hi Buddy :P

I was lucky enough to have a short chat with 'Siggi' Schmidt and Bennu Gamster (sitting in for Axel Ostermann) at Alconbury in 1985/6 ( can't remember exactly, now)

Great guys, who loved to fly those aircraft ;)

Super displays back in the day

Cheers
