Bentwaters has always been my favourite base & I'm so glad that you keep our memories going with these nostalgic images :thumb: .

Hi
Yet another cracking set from Postman Pat (sorry couldn't resist) :P
Wish we still had F111's flying, loved them at Lakenheath when I was little.
Keep 'em coming buddy, thanks for sharing with us
All the best

I can remember grumbling about that dark/light split camouflage on the KC135's back in the day, but then i look at the boring all over grey that the entire USAF fleet seems to be painted up in nowadays, and start to realise in actual fact, it wasn't too bad! Far better than what we have these days!

Hi Paddyboy :P

Have to say I`ve really enjoyed these post`s and the memories they have evoked. :thumb:

The F111 take off shot, all that noise and jelly air, what a sight to see, to the Hawg, slow and graceful but extremely deadly.
The KC with the ripple two tone scheme just looked right, I could go on but my daughter will put me in a home for raving on  .

Great days, great post.
