Did you see any of the former RAF Washingtons? I believe there were still a couple surviving at the time of your visit...

Nice pics from China Lake.They all look strangely like the ones on the Chinalakealumni.org website.Are you Peter Foster?

Great stuff 
In fact they flew 3 out of there including "Hawg Wild " at Duxford..which flew across the Atlantic arriving on 3rd March 1980.It was due to do a flyby at Heathrow where I was working in BA ops at the time but due to I think a heater malfuntion it went straight to Duxford
